Deborah Herbert has been employed with MVGH since 1995. She has served as the Assistant to the Controller, Human Resource Director, Assistant Administrator, Administrator and in 2010, assumed the position of Executive Director. She has an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Psychology and a Masters in Gerontology with a concentration in Health Services Management from the University of La Verne. She is married with 6 grown children and 6 grandchildren; loves reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Eden joined the MVGH team in 2012. She was born in a small town in the Philippines called Siniloan, Laguna, about two hours’ drive from Manila. She graduated as a registered nurse in 1981 from San Pablo Colleges in Laguna, having majored in OB-GYN.  Eden’s entire nursing career in the Philippines was in delivery, pre and post-partum, and nursery. She married Reynaldo Conora in March of 1984.  In October of that year, they came to America and Eden began working with seniors.  They have two children.  Eden’s first job was at The Lutheran Home in Alhambra and she worked there for 26 years, starting as a C.N.A., then as an L.V.N., and finally as an R.N.

Kim Houser has served as the Controller of MVGH since 2009. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Kim recently obtained her licenses as a Nursing Home Administrator. Kim has two grown children and enjoys tennis, gastronomy, family and friends.

Nancy Mandic has worked in the Accounting Department as an Accounting Generalist assisting the MVGH Controller for 14 years. In 2010, she earned her RCFE license and added Hearth Assistant Administrator to her duties. She attended Pasadena Community College and California State University, Los Angeles with a major in Social Work. She is married with two grown daughters and enjoys reading, the movies and going to the beach.

Fransisca Janbakhsh, Director of Food Service at MVGH since 2002, was educated in England, and went to the Culinary of the Arts School in Bristol, England. Fran came to America in 1981 and has over 30 years of experience in the food service field. She has two grown children and enjoys music and dancing, painting, and cooking.

Ed has been with MVGH since 1991 ad now serves as Director of Environmental Services.  He was hired as a housekeeper in the Health Center and weeks later transfered to the Maintenance Department. Ed and his wife are proud and loving parents of their daughter who currently receiving her degree. Ed and his wife are very active volunteers at their church.

Meagan McClellan joined the MVGH team in June of 2011 as PR & Events Coordinator. She received her undergraduate at Chaminade University of Honolulu in Communications Marketing and her Masters in Gerontology from USC in the Masters of Aging Service Management program. Currently, she is in a year long leadership program through LeadingAge California. During her free time she loves travel, wine taste, go to the beach, kayak, crafts, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Barbara Stevens joined the MVGH team in August 2012 as a Staff Accountant. She is a life-long resident of Pasadena, and a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She has two grown daughters who are both graduates of Arizona State University. She enjoys watching college football, going to the movies, Jazzercise, and spending time with family and friends.

Nancy Lain has been MVGH’s Administrative Assistant/Office Manager since 2008, providing service with a smile for the residents, staff and visitors. Before coming to the Grove, Nancy served as secretary for two local Presbyterian churches. At home, Nancy is a wife and mother of four, and in her spare time she is an “urban farmer.” Her other interests include cooking, bluegrass music, and travelling with her family whenever possible throughout the beautiful western United States.

Jackie Choi joined the MVGH family in August 2013 as Human Resources Generalist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley. She is married with three precious boys Timothy, Jeremiah and Elijah, and is actively involved at a church in Pasadena in which her husband pastors. She loves sipping coffee at a café, journaling and spending time with family and friends.

Alisha Zuch joined the MVGH team in 2007 as Event Coordinator. She attended College of the Canyons and California State University, Northridge. She is married with two boys, Tyler and Hunter. Alisha often plays the role of the Grove’s photographer. Her other interests include music, baking, sports and going to the beach.

Noelle joined the MVGH team in March 2015.  She was born and raised in Pasadena and  earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in American Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles.  Noelle formerly worked as an Office Services Coordinator at NBCUniversal and before that as a substitute teacher at Ramona Convent.  She married her husband in 2013 and they are both proud dog parents of two very rambunctious girls named Pumbaa and Zazu.  Noelle enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dogs, reading, cooking and laughing.
