Our Mission

We have over 145 persons who have served in 29 different countries living here at Monte Vista Grove Homes. Many, who served abroad, were never able to own their own home and build the savings needed for retirement.

Our mission is to provide a high quality, affordable Christian community for qualified Presbyterian retirees, many of whom cannot afford to pay 100 percent of their costs.

Our general operations are not funded by the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. We rely on contributions and volunteer service by individuals, local Churches and businesses to accomplish our mission.

Here is how you can help:

• Make a gift to help bridge the gap between what our residents can afford and what it actually costs for them to live at MVGH. Click here to find out about Gift Planning at MVGH.

• Assist the MVGH Auxiliary with its periodic activities and sales. All of the proceeds go to fund needs in The Health Center and The Hearth. Click here to find out more about the Auxiliary.

• Assist with activities in the Health Center such as afternoon tea, bingo, letter writing, answering phones, going for walks or one on one visits.

• Assist with daily operating needs. Whether you are skilled at maintenance, gardening or office work. We can always use an extra hand.

• Give time and expertise to our development and public relations efforts.

• Volunteer for our special events.

• MVGH offers the community a variety of satisfying and useful volunteer opportunities.
