THE MONTE VISTA GROVE HOMES AUXILIARY

The purpose of the Monte Vista Grove Homes Health Center/Hearth Auxiliary is to enhance the physical, emotional, and spiritual well being of the residents in our 40-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (Health Center) and the 16-room Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (Hearth).

Membership

Monte Vista Grove Homes Auxiliary Members are anyone who assists with Health Center and Hearth activities, Fall and Spring Sale events, year round store sales, and/or supports the Auxiliary with a monetary contribution.

The role of the membership is to help raise funds for projects needed over and above items in the regular budget to improve the quality of life of the patients and residents in the Health Center and Hearth.

Membership provides you with an opportunity to serve others in a safe Christian environment. Experience warm fellowship and make new friends, many of whom have lived their lives in the service of Christ and His Church. Serve as you are available and at your convenience.

Monthly Sales

The Book, Clothing, Boutique, and Odds ‘N Ends stores are open every month on the 1st Saturday from 9am – 12pm and the 3rd Wednesday from 1pm – 4pm. Donations of quality items for any of the above areas are appreciated. Donations can be accepted year-round. Please call Bev Grant at (626) 577-2959 to arrange for a time when you may bring your items to the Grove. Volunteer Opportunities

Auxiliary Board Members: Officers and Church Representatives.

In the Health Center or Hearth: Reading, visiting, games, tea, parties, music, walking, wheelchair outings, weekly chaplains, receptionist, and special events.

At the Fall and Spring Sales Events: Station coordinators, cashiers, cashier helpers, station helpers, and greeters.

Year-round Stores for Book, Clothing, Boutique, and Odds ‘N Ends: Coordinators and helpers for sorting, stocking, and pricing items for the stores.
