WONDER

God forbid the day should come

Without a pause to

Wonder

A time amid the rush of things

It seems that I must do

To ask if this or that

Could or should be

And if so

Add to the beauty

Of this day or

Others yet to come

Tomorrow holds its mysteries

That time may yet unfold

Although today holds quite enough

To cause a curious mind

To pause and wonder

Is there a message in the soft

Drifting billows of the sky

The flowering garden speak

Of more than loveliness

As ancient mountains

And high soaring eagle

Join in a silent symphony that

Sounds in a quiet and

Listening heart

So may this day wrap a

Thoughtful soul in rapture

A gift and benediction

The true delight

Of

Wonder
