Deborah Herbert has been employed with MVGH since 1995. She has served as the Assistant to the Controller, Human Resource Director, Assistant Administrator, Administrator and in 2010, assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer. She has an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Psychology and a Masters in Gerontology with a concentration in Health Services Management from the University of La Verne. She is married with 6 grown children and 9 grandchildren; loves reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Kim Houser has served as the Chief Financial Officer of MVGH since 2009. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Kim obtained her license as a Nursing Home Administrator in 2013. Kim has two grown children and enjoys tennis, gastronomy, family and friends.

Eden joined the MVGH team in 2012. She was born in a small town in the Philippines called Siniloan, Laguna, about a two-hour drive from Manila. She graduated as a registered nurse in 1981 from San Pablo Colleges in Laguna, having majored in OB-GYN. Eden’s entire nursing career in the Philippines was in delivery, pre and post-partum, and nursery. She married Reynaldo Conora in March of 1984. In October of that year, they came to America and Eden began working with seniors. They have two children. Eden’s first job was at The Lutheran Home in Alhambra and she worked there for 26 years, starting as a C.N.A., then as an L.V.N., and finally as an R.N.

Nancy Mandic joined the MVGH team in 1997 as a Staff-Accountant. In 2010, she earned her RCFE license and has since become the Hearth Administrator. In 2014, she became the Director of Resident Services. She attended Pasadena Community College and California State University, Los Angeles with a major in Social Work. She is married with two grown daughters and enjoys reading, the movies and going to the beach.
Meagan Swan, M.A.

Meagan Swan joined the MVGH team in June of 2011. She served as PR & Events Coordinator, Philanthropy Coordinator, Director of Annual Giving & Community Outreach and currently as Assistant Administrator. She received her undergraduate at Chaminade University of Honolulu in Communications Marketing and her Masters in Gerontology from USC in the Masters of Aging Service Management. She completed a year-long leadership program through LeadingAge California and earned her RCFE certification. She was married to Jake Swan in September 2016. Meagan received her Nursing Home Administrator license in January 2019. During her free time she loves travel, wine tasting, going to the beach, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Ed has been with MVGH since 1991 and now serves as Director of Environmental Services. He was hired as a housekeeper in the Health Center and weeks later transfered to the Maintenance Department. Ed and his wife are proud and loving parents of their daughter who recently received her degree. Ed and his wife are very active volunteers at their church.
Robin R. Harvill, CFRE

Robin Harvill joined the Monte Vista Grove Homes team in January of 2014. Having grown up in the Presbyterian Church, she felt especially drawn to and committed to its mission. Robin has worked in Development for local non-profit organizations for over 26 years and has headed up Development for organizations including: the Alzheimer’s Association, The Salvation Army So. California Division, and Forest Home. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon. Robin is married and has an elementary aged son. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, gardening and family time.

Melanie earned her Associate’s Degree from The Art Institute of California-Los Angeles and complimented her culinary education by obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management in 2007. Chef Melanie started her professional culinary career working at upscale assisted living facilities. In pursuit of her dream to share her passion for the culinary arts with the next generation, she joined Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, as a Chef Instructor from 2007 to 2012. Thereafter, she returned to her alma mater, The Art Institute of California, as a Chef Instructor. During this time, she also returned to school, and in 2016, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership. Melanie enjoys painting, swimming, experiencing new food and spending time with her two nephews.
